Beautiful Lake Santeetlah is one of the most unspoiled lakes you’ll find in the North Carolina mountains. It is also often called one of the most beautiful lakes in the entire country. To get to this “wild west” lake of Graham County, travel about 100 miles west of Asheville on the Indian Lakes Scenic Byway. Lake Santeetlah is a fully recreational lake, which means that visitors can jet ski, water ski, swim, tube, boat, fish, and engage in other water activities.
