For over 16 years, the team at Young Harris Water Sports & RV has offered top-quality boat, equipment, and jet ski rentals in North Georgia. Our staff is trained to make sure your experience on the water is as exciting, safe, and memorable as possible. Our most unique service is the rental delivery we have available for certain locations. Along with our North Georgia boat rentals, Young Harris Water Sports offers a marine service center as well as a brand-new, 13,000-square-foot boat sales center. These physical storefronts are filled with top-of-the-line watercraft from brands like Yamaha, Bayliner, Princecraft, Heyday, Chaparral, Skeeter, and Lowe. We also carry a full line-up of trailers used to tow jet skis, pontoons/tritoons, and ski boats.

Our Lake Chatuge Wake Shop and Lake Oconee Wake Shop are stocked with the area’s largest selection of wakeboards, wakesurfers, water skis, tubes, kayaks, SUPs, and marine supplies. If your need involves water, we’ve got you covered.

Meet Our Team

Lance Markham – President/CEO

As Young Harris Watersports’ President and Chief Executive Officer, Lance is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day-operations of the company. He is also instrumental in determining the company’s overall direction and strategy. He started Y.H.W.S in 2002 while he was working as the Sports Medicine Director and Head Athletic Trainer at Young Harris College. In 2009, Lance started focusing full-time on growing Young Harris Watersports’ business. It is his dedication to quality and customer service that has made YHWS the #1 boat rental company in Georgia. Lance holds a Bachelor’s degree in science from Eastern Washington and a Master’s degree in science from Marshall University.

Kent Chamberlain – Vice President and Head of Rental Operations

Kent recently joined our team and has already proven to be a huge asset with his problem-solving ability and commitment to excellent customer service. With over 20 years working in and around docks and boats, he understands what it takes to provide a top-quality experience for our customers.

Deborah Russell – Accounting/Office Manager

Deborah has over 25 years of Business Operations experience in multiple fields, including office management, administration, banking operations, technology, customer service, shipping, receiving, purchasing, quality control, loss prevention, and bookkeeping. Deborah has held positions at Fortune 500 companies such as R.J. Reynolds, PPG Industries, Office Max, and Sidel Inc. She most recently worked for ten years at United Community Bank, which has been named on Forbes’ list of America’s Best 100 Banks. As Young Harris Watersports’ Office Administrator, Deborah is responsible for activities including but not limited to office administration, accounts payable and accounts receivable, human resources, marketing, customer service and the day-to-day activities of the dealership.
